Massimo-Italy, Classic Route

A little bit about Massimo:

Massimo, 67 year old and Italian, had decided to visit Iran in February 2020, but he had to cancel his trip due to the spread of Corona virus. Finally, once the Covid situation got better, he decided to visit Iran again and contacted us at March, 2022 for arranging his trip. He was looking for a 14-day trip to Iran in May. The followings were his general preferences he had in mind for his trip:

  • Cultural and Historical tour of Iran.
  • 3 to 4 star, top-rated Hotels, or Cozy traditional houses.
  • Private driver-guide for the entire duration of his trip.
  • Entrance fees included in the total for all touristic sites .

What we did for Massimo:

After consulting with him through email, we found out that he is interested in our “Highlights in a Fortress Tour”, but he is also interested in visiting Bam Citadel. Therefore we came up with a newer version of the mentioned tour and customized it for him based on his preferences.

Now, let’s dive-in to his day to day destinations:

Day 1: Tehran

He started his journey from Tehran, the capital of Iran and he visited Golestan Palace, National Museum of Iran, Treasury of National Jewels, and last but not least the Grand Bazaar.

Day 2: Kashan

On the morning of his second day, he left Tehran for Kashan with his driver-guide and explored Kashan for the entire day. Some of the places he visited are Fin Garden, Tabatabaei Historical House, Agha Bozorg Mosque, and Sultan Amir Ahmad’s bath.

Day 3: Abyaneh Village

Abyaneh, an ancient village in Iran, is known for its bloody red earth and its unique architecrure. On his way from Kashan to Isfahan, Massimo stopped at the village for one night to enjoy the village’s traditional bread and buy some handicrafts from the locals.

DAY 4 and 5: Isfahan

After spending a night in Abyaneh, he left for Isfahan in the morning. Isfahan holds some of the most beautiful tourist attractions of Iran and we suggested him to stay there for two nights so he can visit all of them including Naqshe Jahan Square, Shah Mosque, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, Ali Qapu Palace, Si-O-Se Pol, Khajoo bridge, Vank Cathedral.

Day 6 and 7: Yazd

On the 6th day of his visit, Massimo left Isfahan for Yazd, the city of glorious architecture. In Yazd, he got to visit its Jameh mosque, Zoroastrian fire temple, Towers of silence, and Dowlat Abad Garden.

Day 8: Kerman

After spending two nights in Yazd, Massimo headed to his next stop which was Kerman, the city of hardworking people. He visited Ganjali khan Complex, Bazaar of Kerman, and Art Museum.

Day 9: Shahdad Kalouts

The next day, he left Kerman for Shahdad Kalouts, a popular desert area in Lut Desert. Massimo experienced walking along the geological formations and sand dunes there, and he also had a chance to see the palm gardens of Shahdad and its nearby villages.

Day 10: Arg-e-Bam Citadel

On his last day in Tehran, he visited Bam citadel which is the world’s largest adobe building. He also visited Rayen Castle, and Shazdeh Mahan Garden while in Kerman.

Day 11, 12, and 13:

Finally, Massimo got to his last stop, Shiraz. En- route to Shiraz he visited Perspolis (the famous UNESCO World Heritage site), Naqshe Rostam, and Arg of Karim khan. While in Shiraz, he enjoyed a fun tour of the city’s main attractions including Nasir-ol-Molk Mosque, Vakil Bazaar, Tomb of Hafez and Saadi, and Khawju Kermani’s memorium.

Day 14: Tehran

On his last day, Massimo took a flight back to Tehran early in the morning. Once he reached Tehran, a driver-guide picked him up from the airport and he explored the city until it was time for him to head to IKA airprot for his flight bac home. During his last day in Tehran, he visited Saad Abbad palace, Tajrish Square, and Darband area.

Accommodation: Since he was leaving for the airport, he preferred not to book any hotels for the last day.
