Tehran, the modern side of Iran
Tehran is the capital of Iran. Although not so popular among tourists, it definitely has a lot to offer to those who know where to go and what to do. Try to spend at least 2 days in Tehran to have an idea of contemporary Iran. From its numerous art galleries, its palaces to its fabulous parks at the heart of the city, there are plenty of sites for you to visit.

Probably your first stop on your way from Tehran to Isfahan. The city is pretty small and many historical attractions are close to each other. From the Tabatabaei House to the Borujerdi’s historical house is just a 5 minutes walk. If you are short on time, your best option would be probably to arrive from Tehran in the afternoon and to leave the next day around the same time to Isfahan.
