The elegant Homa hotel was built in 1972 under the management of Homa hotel chain and in a lush green part of the city. It later got renovated in 2017.

This is an excellent hotel for Americans and others, who are obliged to have a tour guide accompany them whenever leaving their hotel. Homa Hotel was built in 1971 and has all the elegance and spaciousness of the best hotels of that era. For a tennis player, it is wonderful. The hotel has two red clay courts, that are maintained beautifully by the tennis coach Jamsheed. There are also open spaces within the hotel’s grounds where one can walk and do exercise. However for women swimmers, this hotel is not the best. Women are limited in using the swimming pool (as well as the fitness center) to every other day. Rules are also very strict. Bathing caps are mandatory and you are obliged to change your shoes for their plastic shoes (twice) and then take a shower before swimming. Given the humidity of most swimming pool areas, this is the recipe for toe fungus. However there are other strengths of this hotel. It is located in a quiet residential area and next to a large public park. The hotel has a good breakfast with a chef to make eggs and the evening salad bar is light and delightful. In addition, the daily housekeeping is excellent and the staff is conscientious in maintaining the supplies of mineral water. In summary, if I were to return to Shiraz, the Homa Hotel would be my first choice.

The staff is very polite and friendly, and all of them speak English language. Try to help any time. Breakfast should be better for 5* hotel, regarding offer. In a country with a lot of fruits only watermelon was available. The iranian bread was amazing! Also excursion from hotel was 4-5 times expensive than regular trip! 1ST QUEST agency offered me taxi for 50 euros!!! (from airport to hotel and from hotel to the airport) and regular price for this is 5 euros!!!
