Birdwatching in Anzali Lagoon

Anzali lagoon is among the favorites of all birdwatchers and nature lovers. In this experience, after picking you up at your hotel, we take you on a boat ride through its calm waters.

For this day, we have tried to combine nature and wildlife with a tranquil boat ride that offers not only a chance to relax but also tons of exciting sights to remember.

Here, you’ll see the unique and colorful migrating birds in their secluded and natural environments along with the giant pink lotus flowers that pop out of the dark-green waters, making some dreamy photography opportunities.

You can also learn the tricks to rowing a boat or sit back, relax, and let the boatman do the work for you. If you enjoy fishing, there are designated fishing areas just for that purpose where you can learn all about the character of Iran’s fish.

As we row, row, row our boat gently in the lagoon, we’ll reach some traditional huts that serve hot and cold beverages, local dishes unique to Anzali, and other energizing snacks, which we’ll be sure to take delicious bites of.

Best Time to Visit

We highly recommend you reserve visiting Anzali Lagoon for spring, when its pink lotus flowers begin to bloom, or summer when it makes a great refuge from the heat.
