History & Experience
The three star Marlik Hotel was established in 1964. Due to renovations, this hotel was closed between 2011 and 2014.
We last visited the hotel in January 19th, when some rooms were still under minor renovations.
Lobby & Ambiance
Upon entrance, you’ll notice the lobby is painted beautifully with angelic designs, giving it a very classic ambiance.
The hall has a yellowish color which makes the building seem even more historical. There is a semi-active coffee shop to the left of the lobby.
Rooms & Corridors
The corridors of the 2nd and 3rd floors are dimly lit and quiet. Room types include single, double, 3-bed, 4-bed, and a suite, which is a double room with an extra bed in the hall. All look fresh after the renovations. The rooms are well-lit, the closets and the TV have been added recently, and the curtains and beds seem very new. The ceiling above the beds is covered with a beautifully designed wall paper.
Amenities & Services
Laundry service is available in the 4th floor and guests may use the hotel’s pool for 20 Tomans.
There are two elevators that facilitate access between all floors.
Outstanding Features
The dining hall and the kitchen were clean.
The staff was polite.
Some sections of the hotel were very modern.
Good to Know
The beds came with a white mattress, but there were no towels in the restroom.
Some sections of the hotel were very modern, while some other parts could improve with more renovation.
Overall, it was acceptable as a 3-star hotel and would make for a budget base stay in the capital.
