La villa originale risale al 1908, ma è stata completamente ricostruita e aperta come hotel nel 2007. L'architettura persiana dell'hotel Dad, il suo bel cortile, Howz (una piscina ad asse simmetrica posizionata centralmente) e Iwans (una sala rettangolare) sono stupende. La facciata dell'edificio ricorda le tradizionali facciate in mattoni e paglia dei vecchi edifici della città. Si trova a soli 3 minuti a piedi dal complesso Amir Chakhmagh, a 12 minuti a piedi dallo Yazd Atash-e Bahram (anche Atashkadeh o Tempio del Fuoco Zoroastriano) e a 6 minuti in auto dalla storica moschea Jame di Yazd. Nice place to stay, not 5 starts tho. Room was comfortable, breakfast had a brown change of options. Not super central but walking distance. Reception staff a bit rude for my taste. And I had to ask to change rooms as they one they wanted to give me had no windows and was very different from the pictures.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to stay in a traditional ice house in Iran. It was in the middle of the city with a big,comfortable parking for the car.The room was extra big and clean with an amazing view in the internal yard.I would recommend it to anyone that wants to live in Yazd. The room itself was very clean and cool and offered the possibility to store some food in a small fridge. @1stquest team:can you change my score of cleanliness,comfort, location and value to 10/10?I was too late in rating.

The Dad hotel was recommanded by all the guides for Iran, that I have read... And it is perfectly justified ! The hotel is very modern in its accomodations, but it has also kept its traditional architeture and a wonderful interior court. Rooms are a bit small, but with very comfortable beds and very modern bathrooms too. Breakfast was really excellent, one of the best of my trip in Iran (great fruits, great cofee!)... The hotel also proposes a small rooftop restaurant, very useful if you arrive late in Yazd (otherwise, there are plenty of other rooftops in the old city!). All in all, an excellent option for those who want to stay in Yazd. I highly recommand it !
