History

Ibis Hotel (formerly named axis) is a new 5-star international airport hotel in Tehran, located in Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA) just in front of the main terminal. This hotel and its adjacent hotel, Novotel both are operated by AccorHotels Group, a French multinational hotel group. Opened in 2014.

Amenities

Ibis hotel has 11 floors and 196 spacious rooms and suites. All of them are equipped with modern facilities, the hotel has 1 to 2 person rooms available with a view of the hotel area. The rooms are standard, very clean, and well decorated. With every room comes free breakfast and room service (You should keep in mind that the short-stay rooms don’t include breakfast.)

The rooms feature both Iranian and western style toilets, a bathroom, free Wi-Fi , a TV, fire extinguishing system, IPTV, free water, tea and coffee maker, furniture (beds, couches, drawer, coat hanger, and a closet), a phone, a fridge, a hair dryer, heating system, and cooling system.

Ibis hotel offers a complimentary all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet. It also offers a 24-hour front desk. Guests can enjoy local and international cuisines in the hotel’s restaurant. The guests can also use the adjoining Novotel Hotel amenities including fitness centers and swimming pools to meeting rooms.

Access to Airports

The hotel is just a 7-minute walk to the IKIA passenger’s terminal. It’s about an hour drive from downtown Tehran and also a 50-minute drive from Mehrabad domestic airport.

Ibis Hotel is the best choice not only for an overnight transit to/from IKIA but for all travelers who prefer a comfortable accommodation (more affordable than Novotel Hotel), far from city noises with proximity to IKIA airport in Tehran.

Well the only good thing about this place is just the location Is bad they made me wait 45 min at check in, I would have understood if it was busy but it was quite chill. Second of all the staff need customer service training. The girl at the reception didn't know to answer any of my questions. She just give me the key and that's it! No explanation were you can find breakfast, gym etc. Is really bad! I could say I never seen this bad service in all the countries I have been! Would I stay again here? SOLID NO! I Wouldn't stay here even if they pay me. Just to not leave only a bad comment: The room was fairly clean. The swimming pool and the saunas are nice! The restaurant is ok.

Very close to the airport and this is the most important advantage. Theoretically speaking the breakfast offers a very wide selection of food but practically speaking there is not so much to eat there. Only the breakfast room is very big. Room is just nice, nothing special.

I stayed in the hotel for three nights. Staff are super nice, breakfast was quite good. It was bit confusing for me personally to find the hotel name advertised on website was different from the once you see on the building. booking online is cheaper at least by $5-7. Pay attention to the amenities, there is no coffee pot/tea pot or microwave, yes and no iron in the room.
