2 Days in Kalouts

Kalut is a desert area that is part of a bigger one, the Dasht-e Lut. Kaluts are mainly located in Kerman province. 

In this experience, you're going to walk among the geological formation of Kaluts and sand dunes. Then, you'll pass through the high mountains of Sirch, and visit the unique palm gardens of Shahdad and its nearby villages. You can visit all the historical sites and water systems as well as a stroll down the local bazaar in Shahdad, in search of local souvenirs and the best dates in the country.

You'll also experience an overnight stay in a local guesthouse, meet the locals, get familiar with their lifestyle, and try their tasty homemade meals. 

Best Time to Visit

We mainly recommend you schedule your trip for either autumn or early spring when the weather is just pleasant for a desert excursion.
