It's a really old hotel but the interior is pleasant especially the basement cafe. Wifi is a little weak in the room and on my last night it totally didn't work. Staff are very courteous and helpful. The room has no AC and felt a little stuffy so I had to open the window which was better thereafter. Location wise is quite convenient, approximately 10 minutes walk to the famous Tabriz bazaar and about 15-20 minutes to the closest metro station.

Strange behaviour from the hotel staff - they insist on keeping our passports and visas (which was foolish of them, because we need to carry them with us all the time and they are not allowed to keep them). It took us some time to explain them that we are not leaving our passports there. Also the breakfast was very poor, no fruit or vegetable at all (worst breakfast we had in Iran). Also, you could not set the AC, so sometimes it was a bit hot, sometimes a bit cold and we could not change it. Small details, such as a toilet brush, were also missing.
