This is a must see gem for any trip through the central plateau of Iran.... staying in a shick Caravanserai, in the middle of the desert. I met the local sheppard while he was passing through, our family walked the desert for some discovening the stark beauty of it all just before Sunset. Kamran and his team offer warm and generous hospitality. Don't miss this...

We arrived in the Caravanseray and nobody was there...after 30' in the door knocking it and calling the mobile phone contact without answer we decided to leave and spend our night in Yazd. We called again later to recover the money but nobody answers us again. Super bad experience!

Abbiamo scelto Zein-o-Din solo per dormire essendo a qualche km da Yazd. Siamo arrivati di sera sfiniti da un viaggio dal deserto e abbiamo trovato una buonissima cena a buffet compresa nel prezzo della camera! Gli ospiti erano pochi e abbiamo avuto il caravanserraglio "tutto per noi". Guardare le stelle dal tetto è stata un'emozione. Colazione ottima. Bagni condivisi, ma ampi ed estremamente puliti. Unica piccola nota: i materassi sono molto bassi e per chi non è abituato potrebbe essere un vero problema. Una guida iraniana ci ha detto però che basta contattarli e trovano sempre una soluzione. Buono a sapersi!

We were quite excited about staying at this Caravanserai, as the reviews and the pictures looked great. Sadly, upon arrival, we found out that there was no running water, the toilets were extremely dirty, so was the room and the common area (full of dust, bird poop, cigarette buds, etc). We also didn't have sheets on the beds and there was no air conditioning. Also, contrary to what was advertised, no food was available at all. We had originally booked three nights, but decided to leave after one. In the morning, the manager told us that all of this happened, because it was 'off-season'. Given this, one stands to wonder why they sold the room at all...

Zein o Din Caravanserai is a magical place with really kind and sweet owners. It's amazing to sleep in a historical place like this and the service they reserved to us was really perfect. We loved all the experience: from watching sunset, mountains and stars from the rooftop, to visit and sleep in the caravanserai and have very good breakfast.
